Implementation Commons - Unidos en Salud: Implementing diabetes testing with rural Latino communities

You're warmly invited to join us for the CCEDIR Implementation Commons — an informal seminar series highlighting community-engaged implementation research in action. Luis Santiago is a Purdue Extension Educator with an interest in Community Outreach & Engagement working in Daviess County. Karla Galaviz is an assistant professor of applied health science with expertise in implementation science and chronic disease prevention. Together, they will talk about “Unidos en Salud”, a participatory implementation initiative that aims to bring diabetes preventive services to Latino communities living in rural Indiana. They will share how a mobile unit offering these services was co-designed with the Latino community in two rural Indiana counties and about the results achieved to date.
