Our mission is to build strong collaborations with local, regional, and national organizations and strengthen the design, dissemination, and translation of evidence-based strategies in nonmetropolitan and rural areas. Our long term goal is to improve health equity and reduce health disparities among diverse populations in Indiana, across the Midwest, and throughout the U.S. The Center collaborates with colleagues and centers at IU and, in particular, the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI), IU Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, Indiana Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, Community Health Engagement and Equity Research (CHEER), IU Center for Rural Engagement, and other academic institutions to further the Center's mission and to pursue funding opportunities when research goals align. The Center for Community-Engaged Dissemination & Implementation Research is based in the Department of Applied Health Science, in the School of Public Health-Bloomington.
