Meet the Staff

Cheryl Kilmark, MPH

GOAL Program Manager

Education:  Master's of Public Health (Indiana University, 2015), Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology (Indiana University, 2012)

Area(s) of Expertise: Child health & wellness, family health and wellness, nutrition and balanced eating, physical activity, lifestyle behavior changes

What do you love about your work? There are many GOAL participants who inspire me, but one in particular has participated in GOAL Training several times. I watched her blossom over the years into a more confident person - including in her abilities and skills related to physical activity. Once shy, I now see her easily connect with each new trainer, and she is seeking out new ways to be active outside of the program. She and her family have become advocates for our program. I am grateful for the opportunity to invest in participants and families, and feel lucky when they choose to invest back into GOAL, as well.

Outside of Work: I love traveling, football, board games, and all things Harry Potter!

HHC Program Manager

Student Team

Preparing the next generation of community-engaged leaders is a core part of CCEDIR's mission. Our student employees work alongside faculty, staff, and community partners to support research, outreach, communications, and program activities while gaining hands-on experience in community-engaged public health practice. Their contributions strengthen the Center's work and help build capacity for healthier communities.

Grace Kim

Education:  BSPH in Community Health with a Minor in Communication and Public Advocacy (IU SPH-B, 2026)

Why did you choose CCEDIR?: I was drawn to CCEDIR because of the meaningful, hands-on impact the work has in communities. Through HHC, I get to go directly into rural communities to provide health screenings, work with kids during GOAL Family Nights, and contribute to research on how community-based health screenings make a difference. It has been the perfect place to turn a passion for public health into real action.

Fun Fact: I'm bilingual and I've lived in multiple states!

Outside of Work: I am drawn to the world of film and cinema, from the stories they tell to the craft behind making them.
